  1. A.

    50

  2. B.

    30

  3. C.

    25

  4. D.

    45

Answer

A

Explanation

Let Mayank buy xx dozens of the first type and xx dozens of the second type (total 2x2x dozens).

Total Cost Price = 15x+12x=27x15x + 12x = 27x Rs.

Total Selling Price = 16.50×2x=33x16.50 \times 2x = 33x Rs.

Profit = 33x27x=6x33x - 27x = 6x Rs.

Given Profit = Rs 150: 6x=150    x=256x = 150 \implies x = 25

Total dozens bought = 2x=502x = 50 dozens.
