  • Total salary of non-manufacturing employees = S−S6=5S6S - \frac{S}{6} = \frac{5S}{6}

Average salary of manufacturing employees =S/620=S120= \frac{S/6}{20} = \frac{S}{120}.

Average salary of non-manufacturing employees =5S/680=5S480=S96= \frac{5S/6}{80} = \frac{5S}{480} = \frac{S}{96}.

Ratio =S/120S/96=96120=45=4:5= \frac{S/120}{S/96} = \frac{96}{120} = \frac{4}{5} = 4 : 5.
