Simple Sentence Assertion Reason

Given below are two statements : one is labelled as Assertion (A) and the other is labelled as Reason (R) : Assertion (A) : The following sentence is an example of a simple sentence : "Without saying a word, Ashraf ran away from home, in great haste." Reason (R): A simple sentence is a sentence which contains a main clause and one or more subordinate clauses, dependent on the main clause.

In the light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the the options given below :

    Both (A) and (R) are true and (R) is the correct explanation of (A)

  2. B.

    Both (A) and (R) are true but (R) is not the correct explanation of (A)

  3. C.
