Deductions for various cases from 30: - Rank 1: All correct = 30 - Rank 2: 1 wrong in 1-mark qn = $30 - 1.25 = 28.75$ - Rank 3: 1 unattempted 1-mark qn = $30 - 1.5 = 28.5$ - Rank 4: 1 wrong in 2-mark qn = $30 - 2.33 = 27.67$ - Rank 5: 2 wrong in 1-mark qn = $30 - 2(1.25) = 27.5$ Thus, a score of 27.5 corresponds to rank 5.
