Let Partha's time to reach B be TPT_P and Narayan's time be TNT_N. TP=TN+4T_P = T_N + 4. Partha reaches the mid-point (30 km) in time TP2\frac{T_P}{2}. Given TP2=TN2\frac{T_P}{2} = T_N - 2. TP=2TN4T_P = 2 T_N - 4. Equating both expressions for TPT_P: TN+4=2TN4TN=8T_N + 4 = 2 T_N - 4 \Rightarrow T_N = 8 hours. TP=12T_P = 12 hours. Speed of Partha = 60/12=560 / 12 = 5 km/hr.
