  2. B.

    580

  3. C.

    560

  4. D.

Answer

C

Explanation

Let expenditure on rice in April = 450. Price increase in rice = 20%    20\% \implies extra spent on rice in May =0.20×450=90= 0.20 \times 450 = 90. Total extra spent on rice and wheat = 150. Extra spent on wheat in May =15090=60= 150 - 90 = 60. Price increase in wheat = 12%12\%. If expenditure on wheat in April was WW, then 0.12W=60    W=5000.12 W = 60 \implies W = 500. Expenditure on wheat in May =W+60=500+60=560= W + 60 = 500 + 60 = 560.
