In a company, the average salary of the boys is Rs. 50000. The average salary of all the employees is Rs. 48000. There are 80 boys in the company and the average salary of the girl is Rs. 40000. What is the number of girls working in the company?

Let xx be the number of girls. 48000(80+x)=50000(80)+40000(x)48000(80 + x) = 50000(80) + 40000(x) 48(80+x)=50(80)+40x  ⟹  3840+48x=4000+40x  ⟹  8x=160  ⟹  x=2048(80 + x) = 50(80) + 40x \implies 3840 + 48x = 4000 + 40x \implies 8x = 160 \implies x = 20.
