C. Let present ages of Anjali and Smita be $2x$ and $3x$ respectively. After 6 years: $$\frac{2x + 6}{3x + 6} = \frac{5}{7}$$ $$7(2x + 6) = 5(3x + 6)$$ $$14x + 42 = 15x + 30 \implies x = 12$$ Smita's present age = $3x = 3 	imes 12 = 36$ years.
